Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow! What a busy day it was! Cooking, cooking and cleaning up! That's how our day went. Sad to say that we are already home and the kids are in bed. Wasn't to much visiting after the whole sha-bang. I had a great time cooking and helping my mom though, but what a job. Maybe for Christmas we'll either have it catered or have each person bring their favorite dish.
Well, our day was really nice. Jackson had a blast at my moms as usual. Maybe to much by the looks of his close. He even managed to get on the roof and run around. This was not completely his idea, but boy was he in trouble! Can't stay mad at that face for too long, he's just so darn cute!
The gang! Not to many people this year so it was nice and sweet!
The only two kids other then Tanner. It was pretty quiet most of the time.
The feast! Oh it was so yummy!
Our Thanksgiving 2010 Family picture!
I am Thankful for so many things this year!
I am Thankful for my family and our health. We know a couple friends who have spent this holiday in the hospital taking care of their sick children.
I am thankful for our healthy boys, being back home and for the life I have been given. Very appreciative of my husband and for what he does for us!
I hope you all had an amazing day and got to spend it with your family and friends!

Fishing

It's so nice being back home with family! Yesterday my dad called me and asked if he could take Jackson fishing after school. Now why would I decline that and Jackson loves to go fishing with his papa. So I went and picked up a McDonald's happy meal for a surprise and didn't tell him until he saw papas truck parked in front of the house waiting for him.
My dad has been having so much fun with Jackson and he tells me that Jackson will say, "I love fishing with you papa!" My dad just gets the biggest smile on his face when he tell me that. He just loves that I have grand boys for him!
So they headed up to the lake yesterday to only get there and find out that the battery was dead. So no fishing yesterday and the forecast said there would be rain coming in today. So my dad drove back home to charge the battery and said he was keeping Jackson for the night and they would try again tomorrow morning if it wasn't raining!
Up at 4am and off they went today! When they got there they caught 2 and the third got away!
This is Jackson with the 2 fish. My dad said he didn't want to hold them so he layed by them.
This is a better picture! He was so excited to tell me about them when he got home today. I am so glad my dad can take him and share the things he loves to do with Jackson! Maybe in a couple years we'll be water skiing with Jackson!
Until next year...........

Jackson's Thanksgiving Program

Jackson's school had a Thanksgiving program yesterday. I had no clue that this was taking place or that his class was even reciting a poem. Maybe I just didn't read the news letter, but boy was I impressed. Each class performed their own skit and let me tell you it was the cutest thing ever. After they performed we sat down together and had lunch and dessert and met some new people. We had a great time. Here is Jackson's class getting ready to go on stage. He had no clue I was behind him watching him and look how good he was being.
Listening to the directions she was giving him!
Holding up his A!
Where's my mom?
I guess I forgot his smiling I found you picture! When he saw me he was so happy. I don't think his smile could have gotten any bigger! I am so pleased with his teacher and class. He learns something new every time he goes and he's been teaching me new bible verses every week. We all know we don't go to church, but I think it's pretty cool that I am learning something from him these days!
He's our BIG boy!

5 Months Old

As of 10-26-2010 Tanner weighed in at 16lbs 13.5oz and 23.75 inches long.
I can't believe its going by so fast. The time is going by faster then it did with Jackson. I can only imagine what it will be like once he starts walking and my life gets busier. Life is really short!

The last month:

Sleeping longer periods at night.

Making sounds of some letters.

Eating every 3 hours.

Started eating cereal a week ago.

Rolls over.

Loves playing with his brother and just has the biggest smile on his face when Jackson is around.
Not much to report this month as of adventures. We did however go to a reading at the library and Tanner loved it. I think we will be doing baby time at a local library. I did this with Jackson and feel it's only fair that I do it with Tanner. Tanner is just so easy going and he does love his stroller rides. I think he's going to be an out doors kinda kid!
5 months here we come!

Halloween 2010

This Halloween was pretty crazy with two kiddos. Jeff left for training in Phoenix so he wasn't with us again this year. We spent the day with Nicole and her family and had a little Halloween party! We had a great time and the boys were pooped by the time we got home!
It's so sad to see how many people don't participate in Halloween anymore. When I was a kid it seemed like every house was waiting for us. Now they just decorate and turn off the lights! Oh wait, that's what our house looked like. But, we went somewhere else! I understand that's what most people do, but they just need to stay home! lol
Me and the boys. Jackson didn't want to wear to his mask so we left it behind! Next year he's not being a super hero!
Jackson running his little heart out to get that candy!
Tanner being a good little boy and enjoying the ride
Here are my little Finger cookies. I spent most of the morning making these and deviled eggs to look like eyes! They were a hit at the party. People kept saying that they looked pretty real and that it was wrong to eat them! I will be making these again!
All the junk!
Until next year....
I can only imagine two of them running to the door to get candy!
