So we figured that you definitely need a good foundation to build a home, a gingerbread home that is!
I have never build one or even had the desire to do one, but a friend of mine came over and said, "we bought you something!" Oh yay! Oh nay!" Not my idea of a thing to buy someone! lol
I have OCD when it comes to doing things like this and it really doesn't make it fun for others. I have to clean as I go and make sure it's perfect. I had to let go a little and let Jt have the fun.

Despite some broken pieces, we frosted the corners and made sure we had it together pretty good. I even made sure we had enough of the frosting in the inside of the house.

Next we slapped on the roof and as we waited for the frosting to set, we thought it was looking pretty good. I told
Jt that we needed to wait 30 minutes for the frosting to dry. So he watched some Batman and I started some laundry.

30 minutes passed and we decorated and can you believe that I let him do it all! With a little of my, "stop eating that and stop getting that frosting everywhere," we did pretty good. I didn't do any of the fondant for him. I just kept it simple. Maybe next year I'll get a little more in to it.
This is what we ended up with!

After we finished we headed out to get some lunch and this is what we came home to!
LMAO

So in the trash it went!
At least we tried and had fun doing it!!!

I don't know, but all Jackson wanted to do was eat everything. I'm pretty sure if I put the house together and then let him do EVERYTHING he might have came up with his own idea of what it should look like! Not sure on the age! 6 and up!
