2 Months Old

Well, here he is! He is 2 months old today and he is such a big baby!
He obviously loves to eat as you can see and is growing like a weed!

The last few days he's been sleeping 8+ hours at night.

During the day he just eats and sleeps and has some awake time during the day. When he's awake he loves to be held and rocked. He also loves the baby bjorn, but my shoulder blades don't like it for to long! He's pretty heavy!

He is smiling a lot and laughing. He is trying so hard to talk, but just some little coooos comes out, but he's getting it. I bet in the next couple weeks he'll be talking my ears off.

He is very ticklish and that's when we get the good laughs.

He is starting to like the carseat, he didn't like it the first month of his life! He would scream the whole way there and the whole way home! NOT FUN!!!!

Yes, he cried the whole way from Tucson to Fresno when he was awake!

I do have to say that we have been blessed with another easy baby! I can't get enough of him and just love being a mom x2 these days. Well, that's when we are all getting along and everyone has naps! lol

We have his 2 month appointment on the 24th and I will update then on Mr. T!

I am guess the chubs has to weigh in at 14 or 15 pound already! We will see!

1 Month Old

Can you believe that this little guy is already a month old? I can't, but then again the time flys when your having fun! Boy do we have fun with him! He has adjusted pretty darn well this month and if you asked me, he is such a good and easy baby so far! I have gotten luck with both boys!
Tanner has been growing so much this week. He has a chubby little butt and is getting some cute little rolls on his legs. He has also been looking for us when we talk, lifting his hands and spreading his fingers. Jackson was 2 months when he discovered his hands so we will see what Tanner does. We have been getting some good sleep around here too! Tanner will sleep anywhere from 4-7 hours at night, but most of the time it's 6 hours between the first feeding and then 3 hours after that! So the boys pretty much wake up at the same time in the morning.
I think about life before he came and the only thing that has changed is the nursing and not being able to just jump up and go, but for the most part he is taking a bottle so that does help.
1 month old
Love the blue eyes and I hope they stay!
I forgot to post his 3 week shot, so here that is.
Sweet baby boy!

A Surprise For Tanner

Yesterday we received a package in the mail from the Koegels who live in England. Jacie said she had sent something for Tanner, but I was expecting the package to be directly from her. So I opened it and this is what we found!

The card
What we found in the wrapped box
A dragon towel for Mr. Tanner! He is going to love this when he gets bigger!
What a cute face he has!
Thank you so much Jacie and the Koegel gang for thinking of our little man. I absolutely love it and am tickled pink that you thought of him!
(If your wondering who my friend Jacie is, she was our neighbor who loved across the street from us in Mississippi. We became really good friends and I miss her dearly.)

Tanner is 2 weeks old

I know I am a little behind on posting and making phone calls. But now that I have a good excuse, I guess it makes me feel better! Last week at Mr. T's check up he was back up to 7lbs 11ozs and this past Monday we had an official doctors appt and he weighed in at 8lbs 7ozs. He's sleeping 4 hrs + at night and I'm usually the one to wake him for a feeding. I am getting used to the nursing thing again. I totally gave him a sour tummy this morning, so now I need to figure out what I can and can not eat.
I don't remember Jackson being very vocal at this age, but Tanner is always making some kind of sweet baby sound, either while he's eating, sleeping or just looking around. They are the sweetest sounds and music to my ears!
Yesterday was his official 2 week mark and these 4 pictures below are from yesterday! I tried to get some with his eyes open, but if you have or had a baby, it's kind of hard. They just move around to much.
He couldn't make up his mind whether he wanted to fall asleep or wake up and eat.
Well, he got woken up! Jackson wanted kisses and loves from his brother! (This one is a little blurry)
Going in for the kiss!
These two are so good with each other! I love our family of four!

Tanner is 1 week old

I can't believe it! Time flies when your busy with two. Tanner had a check up appointment on Monday to see how he was doing after we brought him home. When he was born he weighed 7lbs 13oz and when we left the hospital he was down to 7lbs 5oz. On Monday when the nurse checked his weight he was back up to 7lbs 11oz. Almost back to his birth weight. If I remember right they are supposed to be back to their birth weight by the second week. So he is doing really good with the eating! He is also a really good sleeper. He wakes up during the day to feed, but at night I have to wake him up! He will go 5 hrs + if I don't. By that time, my tatas are screaming feed him! lol
We have truly been blessed with another good baby! (so far) He doesn't really fuss to much unless he's tired, wet or hungry. Other then that he's pretty content.
He is truly a beautiful baby, we have been blessed x2!
Jackson Update: Since bringing Tanner home, Jackson has been a little onry. Nothing out of the ordinary! Just a few more No's then we would like and some whinnies, but other then that he has been pretty darn good. It's amazing to see how gentle he is with Tanner and how much he wants to hold him. He also loves giving him kisses and helping me change his diaper. I think Jeff and I did a pretty darn good job preparing him for the arrival of his little brother. I love seeing them together and can't wait to see how they will be in the future! I can wait for them to grow up, but I am curious to see what kind of bond or friendship they will have!

Jackson welcomes Tanner home!

We brought Tanner home on Friday and boy was Jackson excited. When we came around the corner in the car, Jackson was standing outside and had the biggest smile!
Tanner did really well in the car and the only thing I could do was just stare at him and cry. I felt the same way when we brought Jackson home. I can't believe how much I love him and I didn't think it would be possible to love another child as much as your first. Well, let me tell you, it's possible.
Well, here is Mr. Tanner and Jackson right after we brought him in the house. He is so small and so freaking cute! I love all of him!
Jackson absolutely loves him! He is going to be such a great big brother!

Introducing Tanner Jeffrey!

He is finally here and he was definitely ready!
Jeff and I went to the hospital yesterday for my induction, which was originally scheduled for 730 in the morning, but we got pushed back to 11 instead. It actually worked out great because we got to spend some extra time with Jackson. We took him to the driving range and to breakfast. I was really sad to leave him yesterday and I was really emotional. Didn't think it was going to be that hard, but I tried not to show it because he was getting upset that we were leaving him.
Back to where I was going with this! So we got checked in and settled. I was hooked up to my antibiotic for the strep b at 1250 and had until 450 for the 1st 4 hr dosage. So after I got hooked up to that the nurse checked me and I was still dilated at a 4 cm, so she started the patosin and my contractions started. They were 3-5 minutes apart and a little uncomfortable, but nothing I couldn't handle! So Jeff and I played on the computer, texted friends and talked. We had a good time giving the nurse a hard time and she was so funny and so nice. My doctor wasn't due back until she was done at work and when she came back it was 430. Pretty close to my 4 hour mark for antibiotics. She checked me and I was at a 6 cm, so she broke my water and said it should be an hour or so until we will be ready! Well, right after she broke my water the party was definitely starting! I instantly felt like I had to go to the bathroom and so the nurse and I headed over there. When we came back to my bed my contractions were pretty much right on top of each other so I requested an epidural. Well, just my luck the guy had just gone in to another room so now I was going to have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for him to finish up with that lady! So after that information my nurse got me prepped for the epidural and all of a sudden I was on fire and this time I either had to poop or push, I couldn't tell. So the nurse checked me again and said, "it doesn't look like your getting that epidural!" Well, I figured that! I was ready to push and after a handful of pushing his beautiful body came out at 452 pm! Now that I am done with all the labor stuff I am really glad I had him naturally. I was able to focus on the push and I knew what I was doing this time compared to Jackson's delivery!
So here is our family of 4! Sounds so weird to say that, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Tanner Jeffrey, 7lbs 13oz 19 inches long and was born at 452 pm

This one is from today! Jackson wanted to sit by me and hold Tanner! They are so cute together!
I will post more when I get home from the hospital and can take some good pictures of us settling in!

39 weeks & 2 Days

This is my last belly shot for you folks! I will be heading to the hospital in the morning to be induced at 7:30 am. This little guy just doesn't want to come out on his own. I know I could give him some more time, but after being dilated at a 3 cm for 2 weeks and now a 4cm. I think I need a little help. I honestly think I may have progressed some more after the way I felt this weekend, but it wasn't enough to make me go in to labor. I have also been trying the spicy food, walking and swimming (see my tan) old wives tales, but nothing is working. I have also had really swollen feet and ankles, but they are actually starting to go down.
Soooo, here is my belly from the front obviously! I am 39 weeks & 2 days today!
38 weeks & 2 days
Jeff and I plan on taking our laptop to the hospital and we will send out a text to our close family and friends when out little Tanner arrives! I am so excited to meet my baby and finally see what he looks like. I am also curious to know how big he is. The doctor seems to think he'll be smaller then Jackson. Jackson was 21.5 inches 7 lbs 11 oz!
Until then........

Tucson, Az Zoo Part II

Today Kathy and I took Jackson to the Zoo. This was Jackson's second time there and he loved it even more this time around. We missed a few things last time we were there.
This time we made sure to get in all the attractions we missed last time such as the spray park, feeding the giraffe's, train ride and we even let him eat lunch here! He had a great time exploring and seeing some new things. He even named all of the animal as we were leaving! He said good bye to everyone. (good bye monkey's, lion, bear, rhino, etc. it was so cute)
This is just a random picture I took of him trying to figure out the ring he found.

Summer Days Are Here

If you hadn't heard, it's hot as heck here in Arizona. The sun is brutal and we already had golden tans in March! The pool was way to cold to swim in in March, but it's perfect now! This is how we've been spending most days and since grandma Kathy is here for a few weeks we thought we would drag her out to keep cool as well!
Jackson's been a little dare devil the past few times that we've gone now that he is wearing swimmies. I can't keep him out of the water and he'll swim all the way across the pool on his own! He does really good and we will be putting him in swim lessons when we get back to Fresno.
Here he is running and jumping over grandmas head.
In the air
and into the pool!
Me throwing him in to the water! Poor guy had to wear his shoes today because his little toes are raw from the pool yesterday!
Swimming along while I was taking pictures!
I have always loved swimming and I think Jackson does too! He is a Pisces after all! (water babies)

38 Weeks & 2 Days

Today was my last doctors appointment for this little guy! He is either going to have to come out on his own or I will just meet him on the 16th! The doctor gave me an induction date if he doesn't decide to make his grand entrance by 39 weeks! This is when she can help me out being that I tested positive for the strep b test. She won't do anything before that do to spreading the infection!
So as of today, I am officially 4 cm and his head is really low. I have gained 4 pounds but mostly do to water weight. My ankles are swollen and my fingers are ginormous! After she checked me today I was having a lot of cramps and got really sleepy. Jackson and I came home and took an early nap! I just wish he would come already and stop making me wait! I guess he is teaching me patients or he is just so comfy in there that he's not ready!
This is me at 38 weeks

This is me at 37 weeks
So until the day we meet our little boy, you will just have to wait to see him as well! I will post a new picture if I make it to my 39 week mark, but until then this will be my last! (hopefully) He at least has to wait for grandma Kathy to get here tomorrow and then he can come out!

Tucson Children's Museum

Last week my mom and I took Jackson to the Tucson Children's Museum. I have been wanting to take Jackson for some time now, but haven't had the energy to do it by myself. So what better opportunity then to take my mom along! She followed him around and did just about everything while I followed and took pictures!

Jackson playing in the choo-choo!

Jackson listening to his pulse/heart beat! Grandma & Jackson driving in the fire truck
Jackson riding on the Police Bike!
Sorry this post is so short. I accidentally deleted a picture and this post is just not doing what I want it to do. So other then that, I give up!

We had a really good time. Jackson got to do lots of coloring, blew bubbles outside, saw the dinosaur exhibit and played with lots of kids! He had a great time and was exhausted by the time we left! That always makes for a good nap!

More Gifts For Mr. Tanner

On Wednesday we received a gift in the mail from some unknown person, but knew it was from Fresno. The message said to hurry up and move back to Fresno, Love? The name was missing, so I had to post on FB asking who sent it! Well, it turned out to be from James and Leah! They have spoiled us throughout our marriage and babies! We owe them big time and it's a good thing they are having a baby here in July. The best part is that it's a girl! I love buying for the girls!
Thank you so much James and Leah! We really appreciate it and can't wait to use those cute little diapers and hopefully this little guy will take a bottle! My fingers are crossed!
Today we came home to a package on our door step and guess who it was from? The Stimets! Lindsey has been asking me forever what I need and my response to her was nothing, I have everything we need. I did give her some ideas and this is what she came up with!
A cute embroidered towel, 2 onsies that are just adorable! Love the tie one, he will definitely be in touch with his feminine side! lol A burp cloth matching the initial onsie ( love this one too), 1 shirt for Jackson and a matching one for Tanner saying "Monkey See, Monkey Do!" Owen also sent a bird feeder for Jackson. A little crafty project for him to do! He'll love it!
Thank you so much Lindsey, Justin , Owen & Addie! I love everything and Mr. Tanner is going to look so cute in his new onsies! I can't wait to put them on him!
Today after we went to the pool with Kim and Ashlyn, they came over and brought Mr. Tanner a gift too! I can't believe all of the gifts this little baby has gotten already! He is so blessed to have all of these awesome people waiting to meet him and spoiling him already!
They got him this cute little sleeper, wash cloths, a doggie towel and some baby wash! All things we needed for him! I love that we have gotten some new clothes for Mr. T. Jackson's baby clothes still look new, but this little guy will have some of his own! Thank you Kim, Mike & Ashlyn!
We can't wait to know what your having here soon! Hopefully a boy!
I can't wait to use all of these great gifts! I love looking at them all and hate that they have to sit and wait for him! I wish he was here to use them all! In time, I am being patient!
Thank you everyone, we really appreciate it!
I really can't thank everyone enough!
Thank you!

Family Is Here!

As most of you know my mom and brother are and were here. My mom flew in on Wednesday last week and my brother came the next day. It has been so nice having family around and we have really enjoyed their company.
While My brother was here we pretty much hung out and relaxed. We did manage to go out to dinner a couple of times, but cooked mostly at home. We went and saw Robin Hood on Sunday, that was a really good movie. We also walked and rode the bikes around, thanks to my brother Jeff. The bike rides were fun until I got off the bike! Not recommended for a 9 month pregnant girl!
Here is a picture of my mom and Jackson the first morning she was here. She got lots of snuggles and kisses!
My mom and I went to Target on Thursday before picking up my brother from the airport and Jackson talked my mom into buying him this Iron Man Helmet. It doesn't take much bribing for my mom to buy him something! lol
I think this was Saturday while Jackson was relaxing in his pool! I wish I looked that cute floating around!
I think Lucky wanted to get in with him!
I have more pictures, I will do another post of what what we have been up to!

37 weeks & 2 days

I had my 37 week appointment this morning and I took my mom and Jackson with me! Jackson loves to hear the heart beat and my mom hasn't heard it since my 9 week appointment! Everything is looking good, still measuring small (around 35 weeks) but she said that's fine. She asked how big Jackson was (7lbs 11 oz) and said this little guy will either be just a bit smaller or right about that! I am still at a 3 cm, but pretty close to a 4. My m plug is coming out and she said that labor isn't too far from that! So basically any day now and he should be here! Not to much to report other then I am still having sporadic contraction and lots of shooting sharp pains down stairs! Some make me double over in pain. She said it's his little head getting further down in to position. My back hasn't been hurting as bad, but me feet are starting to swell. Other then that, everything is going good and no weight gain this week! Wooo hoooo!

A random picture of my pregnant body that I took at the Tucson Children's Museum today.
My mom came last week on Wednesday and my brother got here Thursday to help Jeff and I out. My brother left yesterday:( and my mom will be here till the 7th. It has been really nice visiting and seeing them. We can't wait to go home and be with them all the time. I will post on out outings either tonight or tomorrow!
