Jackson's Valentine's Day Party

This Valentine's was Jackson's first actual V-day party! He was so excited and couldn't wait to go to school! I on the other hand felt so bad because I didn't buy any V-day cards for him to pass out at school. I thought the school handout just said bring a treat. Lame! Worst mom award for me!
He survived and still reaped all the benefits of it!
I made these cute little fruit kabobs for the kids! I figured they would be eating enough junk that day and wanted something healthy! It ended up being a hit cause the kids were asking for seconds!
Jackson having a good ole time while the kids were passing out there cards. You could have skipped him and he wouldn't have cared! He was to busy laughing it up!
Hudson giving Jackson his V-day card!
Jackson's little buddy Tyson giving Jackson his V-day card! These two are so cute together.
After all the cards were passed out they had their little snacks!
Jackson being a good little eater.
He had a great time and really enjoyed all the goodies!
We didn't celebrate Valentines Day here at home so this was perfect for him! Maybe next year we will actually be with it and he can participate in the activities! lol

7 Months Old

7 Months! Can you believe it!!!

I'm not sure he's going to sit in here very much longer for me to take these pictures of him. He's trying to sit up and pretty much trying to escape the torture of his monthly picture!
This last month has brought lots of change with Tanner. He is babbling up a storm, rolling every where and getting in to the crawling position, but no crawling just rocking. His eating has changed a little. We are having fruit for lunch and a snack in between dinner and dinner consists of rice cereal with a veggie followed up with some yummy breast milk. Breast feeding is still going strong and despite all of the distractions he still wants to nurse. I have to tell Jackson to be quiet about a 100 times, but he eventually gets a full tummy. He hasn't perfected putting his snack in his mouth himself, but we are working on that! Bella is benefiting from this!
His sleeping patterns haven't changed. Still up once at night for a feeding.
No teeth yet. Jackson already had teeth, so I am wondering if he'll be a late bloomer.
He had his first hair cut. Couldn't handle the hair in hanging in his eyes and his morning Mo Hawks!
So far, he is doing good. He loves his brother so much and he can't get enough of Jeff, but he is still a mamas boy. He tries to kiss me all the time, pull my hair, loves for me to hold him and cries just about every time I leave the room. I don't think I can tell everyone enough what a joy he is. He is so easy and the best baby. He makes me want another one now. We will see on that though! Jeff and I just love him to death. I feel a stronger bond with him. Maybe it's just the second baby thing. Not so stressful and we are so much more relaxed with him. It's just more enjoyable. Not that it wasn't enjoyable with Jackson. You just don't really know what your doing and if your doing it right with your first! Jackson and I have a wonderful bond, but it's definitely different with Tanner. I suppose they can't all be the same!
Here are some extra photos I decided to share of Mr. T in the crawling position. He scoots forward when he's rocking in this position, but he usually does a face plant. Doesn't have the upper body strength yet.
Getting his Monkey
Playing with his brother! My 2 favorite boys, the loves of my life. I couldn't imagine my world without them.

The Day After Family Day...

The day after family day wasn't so great. Jackson came in to our room on Monday complaining of a tummy ache. We kind of blew him off and said it will go away, well we were wrong. Poor guy spent most of the day laying in the bathroom sleeping and throwing up. He said it made him feel better!
My poor baby.
We both had clam chowder for dinner the night before and I ended up like him at the end of the day.
Not fun! We both woke up today feeling so much better!

Family Day

What's 1 thing you might not know about Jeff?
Well, he used to be a surfer and still enjoys it when he gets the chance. Luckily, there are a few surfer pilots out at Jeff's work. So yesterday we headed to the beach (2.5 hours away) and spent the day together as a family and then met a couple of Jeff's fellow pilot friends out for a surf. They didn't last very long. A little blown out, but he enjoyed getting in the water.
We went out to the beach when we first got there and Jackson had a ball. After an hour or so we headed in to Cayucos to have some yummy fish and chips at Duckies! Love this place. It's like a restaurant you see in the magazines where all the locals go and there's a bar wrapped around the entire inside and outside of the restaurant and the windows open up so you get the fresh ocean air coming in! Just need to grab a beer and sit outside and your in heaven!
So we ate and headed back down to the beach! Jackson had a little to much fun, he ended up walking back to the car in his skivvies! We then cruised around looking at beach houses. Nothing to exciting!
Then we ended up at the beach, again! It was beautiful and 70+ degrees. When we left Fresno yesterday it was pretty overcast and cold. Thank god we saw the sun! I think we all needed some vitamin D!
Here are some pictures of Jeff and Jackson playing on the beach! They had a good time together.
Morro Bay Rock
I love Jackson's smile in this picture!
Jeff headed out to surf.
Jackson thought Jeff's wetsuit would keep him warm and dry! NOT! He looked like a penguin!
We ended our day with dinner in Morro Bay.
The best part of the day for me was when Jeff told me how much he loved our little family!
These are the moments I love the best!
We will be doing this more often!

Playing

Last week we were playing in Tanner's room (something we do a lot since we don't have an area rug in our living room) and he couldn't stop playing with this glow worm that his great aunt got him for Christmas. He found it quite interesting especially when he found himself in it.
Well, who is this handsome little guy?
Kisses?
mmmmwwwwaaaaaaa!
He definitely discovered himself!
When he actually starts crawling he can start chasing it around.

Tanner's First Hair Cut

Oh, yes I did!
Jeff has been bugging me for months to cut it and for some reason I couldn't bring myself to do it. I feel some kind of attachment to his hair and he is so young for a hair cut. Well, I took Jackson yesterday for a hair cut and asked the lady if she would do it and she said yes and then changed her mind and told me to wait. Me! Wait? Hahahahah.....
If you know me, that just isn't in my vocab! Once I want something I have to have it now!
So here is the before picture of our hot mess!
(You've all seen the FB posts with his morning Mo Hawks!)
Ta Da!
Luckily, he still has curls!!!! YAY, this was one thing I was worried about as well. I know a ton of people who have cut their kids curls off and they are completely gone. Not Tanner's!
Here is the little pile of curls! Yes, I saved them and they will be put in his baby book.
I will get a better picture of him. All of our camera batteries were dead last night! So, I used my phone camera.
He looks like a big boy:(

Tanner Is 6.5 Months

HaHaHa! I couldn't resist posting all of these pictures of him! We were having some fun this morning while he was eating his puffs and I was eating my cheerios. I had to grab the camera and take some pictures of him making his funny faces. The only bad thing is that they are kind of blurry and when I tried to do the manual setting on my camera, I forgot to switch the lens to manual! I'm such a dork. I will try another time and see what I come out with!
I can't believe that he is 6.5 months old. He is getting so big and loving his food! I think he's grown so much in the last couple of weeks. He's definitely put on some weight! lol
I have been putting him in the highchair whenever we eat and I will either give him some baby food or some sweet potato puffs. When I give him the sweet potato puffs, we crack up at how many don't make it in to his mouth and how many Bella ends up getting! It is so amazing to watch him and watch him interact with us! We just love him so much!
Sorry there are so many pictures I couldn't help myself! Besides, I know you all don't mind!
Raspberries
Almost
Trying to pick up his puffs
So tired
Sweet boy!
I love this one! Wish it wasn't so blurry.
My happy boy!
I will try it again and see what happens! So hard to get good pictures when they move around so much!

Christmas 2010

I don't know about you, but we had an awesome Christmas this year! Lots of Xbox Kinect fun and boy was it fun for Jackson this year!
I think I was more excited for him to open his gifts then anything. Tanner is just way to young for it this year, but he was definitely cute sitting next to the tree!
On Christmas eve, Jeff and I were laying in bed talking about Christmas's when we were kids. He had asked me what was my favorite Christmas as a child? I had to think about it for a while because I couldn't remember a favorite Christmas other then one and it was with my dad. I spent Christmas Eve with my dad and Christmas Day with my mom and her side of the family. The one Christmas I remember the most was when my dad surprised me with a 4 wheeler. We had so much fun riding that day and I thought that was the best day ever! As a child we never got to get out of bed and open gifts. With my dad I got to do that, but at my moms we had to wait all day until everyone got there. Sometimes that wasn't until 4 or 5 in the evening! So lame and probably the worst thing ever. Till this day that's how it is.
So now that I am married and we have our own family, I so look forward to getting up and opening gifts in our PJ's. These are the best Christmas's and there are many more to come.
On the other hand, Jeff said he had many favorites! His stories of their Christmas's would make anyone want to spend it with the Blaufuss Family! He said his mom Kathy was the best at hiding gifts and till this day he still kind of believes in Santa! lol
One of his favorites was when he got a new stereo with the 4' speakers. He wanted that so bad and when he got up he didn't see it until he was told to go outside! So Kathy, if you are reading this, you did an awesome job playing Santa!
However, Jackson was way into Santa this year and making sure he got his list right. He first started out wanting a dirt bike and a drum set. Then it turned in to a toy truck with a boat and trailer like papas. He also wanted an Iron Man hand. After he finally figured out what he wanted we went to tell Santa! Boy was he excited and he made sure the BIG guy got it right! I think he told him 3 times what he wanted!
When the big day was near the only thing he wanted to leave out were carrots for the reindeer. I had to remind him that Santa needed some cookies to give him some energy for his long night! lol So we left out some oreos and a little bit of milk.
He are the letters that Santa sent for the boys this year. Jackson must be on Santa's good list because he has gotten one of these every year now!
Here is our Christmas tree this year. I wanted to get a picture of it before all the opening started the next morning.
Then I started to play around with the tripod and the night options. Not to sure how to work my fancy camera, but I thought this turned out pretty good. I think it looks pretty!
Tanner's first Christmas and his very first gift! Thank you grandma Kathy!!!
The one thing that Jackson has been and really wanting this year was a flight suit just like Jeffrey's. We ordered it in November and we couldn't wait to give it to him! He doesn't look very excited about it, but he was. He just didn't want to take a picture!
Papa and Tanner watching Jackson open all of his gifts! I think papa needed to go back to bed! lol
Jackson checking out all of his cool little gifts in his stocking.
Jackson getting ready to tear in to the gifts, but before he could we managed to get him before we made a mess!
We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a Safe and Happy New Year!
Love,
Jeff, Cindy, Jackson & Tanner.....

6 Months Old

I can't believe it and it makes me so sad to think that he is 6 months old! HALF A YEAR!!!!!!
I just can't believe it. I feel like I just had him.
I do know that life is getting easier with two kiddos. I feel like I can do anything and I have the routine down patt!
This month we started solids. He has tried squash, sweet potatoes, green beans and now he just started carrots. Not to sure about them, but he gets them down.
He's rolling over from tummy to back and back to tummy. Starting to move around way more, might have to keep an eye on him in a few days while having floor time.
He just started making this funny movement with his mouth. It's kind of like he is an old man and open and closes his mouth. Kind of like you were going to click your tongue. Since he started that the babbles have started and it sounds like dada and all kinds of little baby words. I called my mom this morning so she could hear him and she thought it was Jackson just being a goof ball, but nope it was Mr. Tanner. She was so surprised to hear him talking like that. Let's just hope he's quieter then Jt! lol
When I weighed him at my moms last week he was 20lbs. He has his 6 month MD visit on Monday so we shall see how much he has grown.
He still wakes up once a night for a feeding, but every once in a while he'll surprise me and sleep all night. I really like those nights. Wish there were more.
He also has great motor skills. Grabbing and able to put his pacifier in his mouth if he holds it correctly.
This month has been a blast. I just love his easy going personality, but he does get a little upset when I leave the room. What can I say, he loves his mama!
Still has those baby blues! I hope they stay. Cross your fingers! Who doesn't love a brown hair boy with blue eyes!
Sooooooooooooo Cute!

Jackson's School Christmas Party

In preparation for Jackson's Christmas Party for school, I baked and iced cookies all day! Well, not all day, but most of the day! I ended up sending a plate with Jeff for all of his comrades at work so I wouldn't eat them!
Another mom brought some great cupcakes though, there is a picture below just to show you how cute those little reindeer were!
Jackson was enjoying his lunch. Each mom brought something for the kids to eat. There were sandwiches, carrots, celery, fruit and chip. Then there were so many goodies, like brownies, cookies and cupcakes.
They also has to bring a book and each of them exchanged books. we read it tonight and I really liked it. I will be reading that more often. Thanks to Giada for spicing up our book selection! lol
Here are those super cute cupcakes! I will have to try and make these sometime!
I had to include this picture! Jackson was student of the week this week! I can't believe how big he is getting and he's almost 4 to top it off! It's hard to believe that we have a 4 year old. It just seems like he's always going to be 2 or 3 to me.
Here is my precious little BIG man standing by his Christmas tree at school.
He is learning so much from his teacher and I aslo like that he is learning about religion. Something I don't know much about and I am so glad he is able to learn it from a great religious teacher who is very spiritual and loves these kids dearly. She has been such a great help with our struggles with Jackson and she seems to really calm him down. I love her and I am so glad he is in her class.
Merry Christmas from Jackson!

Building A House!

So we figured that you definitely need a good foundation to build a home, a gingerbread home that is!
I have never build one or even had the desire to do one, but a friend of mine came over and said, "we bought you something!" Oh yay! Oh nay!" Not my idea of a thing to buy someone! lol
I have OCD when it comes to doing things like this and it really doesn't make it fun for others. I have to clean as I go and make sure it's perfect. I had to let go a little and let Jt have the fun.
Despite some broken pieces, we frosted the corners and made sure we had it together pretty good. I even made sure we had enough of the frosting in the inside of the house.
Next we slapped on the roof and as we waited for the frosting to set, we thought it was looking pretty good. I told Jt that we needed to wait 30 minutes for the frosting to dry. So he watched some Batman and I started some laundry.
30 minutes passed and we decorated and can you believe that I let him do it all! With a little of my, "stop eating that and stop getting that frosting everywhere," we did pretty good. I didn't do any of the fondant for him. I just kept it simple. Maybe next year I'll get a little more in to it.
This is what we ended up with!
After we finished we headed out to get some lunch and this is what we came home to!
LMAO
So in the trash it went!
At least we tried and had fun doing it!!!
