Halloween 2010

This Halloween was pretty crazy with two kiddos. Jeff left for training in Phoenix so he wasn't with us again this year. We spent the day with Nicole and her family and had a little Halloween party! We had a great time and the boys were pooped by the time we got home!
It's so sad to see how many people don't participate in Halloween anymore. When I was a kid it seemed like every house was waiting for us. Now they just decorate and turn off the lights! Oh wait, that's what our house looked like. But, we went somewhere else! I understand that's what most people do, but they just need to stay home! lol
Me and the boys. Jackson didn't want to wear to his mask so we left it behind! Next year he's not being a super hero!
Jackson running his little heart out to get that candy!
Tanner being a good little boy and enjoying the ride
Here are my little Finger cookies. I spent most of the morning making these and deviled eggs to look like eyes! They were a hit at the party. People kept saying that they looked pretty real and that it was wrong to eat them! I will be making these again!
All the junk!
Until next year....
I can only imagine two of them running to the door to get candy!

Orange Day Party & Pump It Up Halloween Party

This is going to be pretty brief!
On Thursday Jackson had a fun filled day. We started off with his school party. They weren't allowed to dress up, but they made everything orange to make it fun for them. Later that night we headed to Pump It Up for another party. This one was a dress up party and they Jumped the night away.
Here is Carson and Jackson dressed as Iron man buddies. Carson was Iron man and Jackson was the Air Forces Roadie Iron man.
Jackson being his crazy self
I got this shot of him right after he came down the slide!
Here's what Tanner was doing!
Our little family
Here is Jackson school party. They carved a pumpkin and Jackson loved scooping the guts out!
He hogged the whole pumpkin!
They had lunch consisting of chicken nuggets, peaches, doritos and orange punch!
This is what Tanner was doing!
We will be heading to Nicole's for a Halloween Party for the kids. I will post more on that later! Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

4 Months Old

Mr. T is 4 months old and getting so big!
He has his 4 month doctors appointment on the 26th of this month and I will report in on how much this little big guy weights! He is still small, but way bigger then Jackson was!
In the last month Tanner has had the same sleeping patterns. He usually gets up once per night and that's usually between 3:30 and 4:30, but goes right back to sleep after he's fueled up and wakes around 8. So he's pretty good at night. He has a nap schedule during the day, but his naps are always cut short do to Jackson being his loud self.
He is starting to eat less often. We are at 2.5 to 3 hours between each feeding now.
He has this thing with his left leg. He kicks both, but the left one seems to get more exercise. Its pretty funny!
He started sleeping in his crib this month and he also puts himself to sleep. This is a big deal in my book because Jackson would never do this. I always had to nurse him to sleep or rock him. He wasn't a very good self soother. So for Tanner to be able to be awake when I lay him down for bedtime/nap time and put himself to sleep is a big deal! Love it!!!
He has had a couple adventures this month with Jackson and I. I took Tanner to Carmel to meet Mrs. Tonya Harrison on the 27th of September and he also went to Cayucos. So he's ha two mini vacation already!
Last thing! He is coooing a lot and he's almost doing some raspberries. We call him the bubble man because he's always got little bubbles coming out of his mouth!
He is such an easy baby. Just goes with the flow, never quibbles about anything unless he's got a messy diaper, he's hungry or gassy. I have really enjoyed him thus far and can't wait to see him change this next month.

Field Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Jackson had his first little field trip with his class. Being that I am a stay at home mom, I am lucky enough to be able to join him in these activities.
We started the day off late as usual, but got caught up after the class finished learning about where pumpkins come from. (like the kids care where pumpkins come from, just give them a pumpkin and a carving kit and let them have at it!) We went on a hayride around the farm and saw the river, barns and animals. After we were done with the hayride we were pretty much free to feed the animal and pick a pumpkin. Jackson had a ball petting and feeding the animal. He really enjoyed the miniature donkey. I think he even said he wanted to ride it! lol I could just see that going well. It was so hot and we were pretty miserable so some of the pictures below Jackson looks pretty beat.
Here is Jackson's class
Jackson with the donkey. They both look pretty happy, huh?
These next two pictures are of Jackson now and of Jackson the very first time I took him to the very same pumpkin patch. I tried to get the same picture, but like I said it was hot and he was pretty tired.

Headed to the Beach

Last weekend Nicole and I decided to pack the cars up and head to the beach. She brought her mom and my mom and aunt were already heading there, so we thought it would be nice to get away for a couple days. Well, let me tell you. It was more work then a vacation. I was ready to pack up the car and head home the first night we were there.
I love my son Jackson to death, but boy what a handful he can be at times. It doesn't help when he has his little friend Carson too. The were wild monkeys and no matter what we told them or him they didn't listen. I think my next get away will be alone or just Tanner and I.
I don't want to complain about Jackson, but we did end up having a good day on Tuesday. Nicole and her mom took Carson to Morro and we stayed behind to just relax and play on the beach. No shopping for this group. I just end up watching kids instead of shopping! We ended up having a really good time with grandma and aunt Charlene. We had lunch and headed to the beach. Jackson played some in the freezing cold water and found some sea shell. Tanner snoozed while we played. It was nice to have some time with Jackson and run a muck!
Mr. T playing on the bed
Carson and Jackson digging for gold
Not sure if he was trying to make a sand angel or what, but he was sandy!

We had a good time, but I felt like it was more work then a vacation. Can't wait for our San Diego get away in a couple weeks with Tanner and Jeffrey!

6 Year Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday Jeff and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary! This year is a little low key do to our little vacation planned at the end of the month for a friends wedding in San Diego. We plan on doing something fun there and getting away from the kids!
Last night we went to Red Robin for dinner and treated Jackson to Yodigity for some frozen yogurt! We had a really nice night, I just wish Jeff didn't have drill this weekend. So for the most part it was a nice day!
This last year has brought great change to our lives. We found out we were pregnant just a few weeks after our anniversary;) we moved from Mississippi to Arizona, welcomed a new baby boy to our family, Jeff graduated from UPT and promoted to 1st Lieutenant and now we are back home in California.
Always change in our lives, but this is part of marriage and it keeps us strong! I love Jeff more then words and I am so happy to be married to him!
Happy Anniversary babe!

Tanner's 2 Month Check Up

Yesterday was Tanner's 2 month doctors appointment. They said everything looked good, but one of his testicles has some fluid on it. They will check it next time at his 4 month visit to see if there are any changes. They said if it doesn't clear up on it's own he could possibly need surgery.
Other then that little hiccup, our little chubs weighs 13 lbs 11 oz 23 inches long! He's in the 95% for weight and 75% for his height. I think he going to be a big boy!!!
Jackson was 13 lbs 5 oz 24.5 inches at 2 months.

2 Months Old

Well, here he is! He is 2 months old today and he is such a big baby!
He obviously loves to eat as you can see and is growing like a weed!

The last few days he's been sleeping 8+ hours at night.

During the day he just eats and sleeps and has some awake time during the day. When he's awake he loves to be held and rocked. He also loves the baby bjorn, but my shoulder blades don't like it for to long! He's pretty heavy!

He is smiling a lot and laughing. He is trying so hard to talk, but just some little coooos comes out, but he's getting it. I bet in the next couple weeks he'll be talking my ears off.

He is very ticklish and that's when we get the good laughs.

He is starting to like the carseat, he didn't like it the first month of his life! He would scream the whole way there and the whole way home! NOT FUN!!!!

Yes, he cried the whole way from Tucson to Fresno when he was awake!

I do have to say that we have been blessed with another easy baby! I can't get enough of him and just love being a mom x2 these days. Well, that's when we are all getting along and everyone has naps! lol

We have his 2 month appointment on the 24th and I will update then on Mr. T!

I am guess the chubs has to weigh in at 14 or 15 pound already! We will see!

1 Month Old

Can you believe that this little guy is already a month old? I can't, but then again the time flys when your having fun! Boy do we have fun with him! He has adjusted pretty darn well this month and if you asked me, he is such a good and easy baby so far! I have gotten luck with both boys!
Tanner has been growing so much this week. He has a chubby little butt and is getting some cute little rolls on his legs. He has also been looking for us when we talk, lifting his hands and spreading his fingers. Jackson was 2 months when he discovered his hands so we will see what Tanner does. We have been getting some good sleep around here too! Tanner will sleep anywhere from 4-7 hours at night, but most of the time it's 6 hours between the first feeding and then 3 hours after that! So the boys pretty much wake up at the same time in the morning.
I think about life before he came and the only thing that has changed is the nursing and not being able to just jump up and go, but for the most part he is taking a bottle so that does help.
1 month old
Love the blue eyes and I hope they stay!
I forgot to post his 3 week shot, so here that is.
Sweet baby boy!

A Surprise For Tanner

Yesterday we received a package in the mail from the Koegels who live in England. Jacie said she had sent something for Tanner, but I was expecting the package to be directly from her. So I opened it and this is what we found!

The card
What we found in the wrapped box
A dragon towel for Mr. Tanner! He is going to love this when he gets bigger!
What a cute face he has!
Thank you so much Jacie and the Koegel gang for thinking of our little man. I absolutely love it and am tickled pink that you thought of him!
(If your wondering who my friend Jacie is, she was our neighbor who loved across the street from us in Mississippi. We became really good friends and I miss her dearly.)

Tanner is 2 weeks old

I know I am a little behind on posting and making phone calls. But now that I have a good excuse, I guess it makes me feel better! Last week at Mr. T's check up he was back up to 7lbs 11ozs and this past Monday we had an official doctors appt and he weighed in at 8lbs 7ozs. He's sleeping 4 hrs + at night and I'm usually the one to wake him for a feeding. I am getting used to the nursing thing again. I totally gave him a sour tummy this morning, so now I need to figure out what I can and can not eat.
I don't remember Jackson being very vocal at this age, but Tanner is always making some kind of sweet baby sound, either while he's eating, sleeping or just looking around. They are the sweetest sounds and music to my ears!
Yesterday was his official 2 week mark and these 4 pictures below are from yesterday! I tried to get some with his eyes open, but if you have or had a baby, it's kind of hard. They just move around to much.
He couldn't make up his mind whether he wanted to fall asleep or wake up and eat.
Well, he got woken up! Jackson wanted kisses and loves from his brother! (This one is a little blurry)
Going in for the kiss!
These two are so good with each other! I love our family of four!

Tanner is 1 week old

I can't believe it! Time flies when your busy with two. Tanner had a check up appointment on Monday to see how he was doing after we brought him home. When he was born he weighed 7lbs 13oz and when we left the hospital he was down to 7lbs 5oz. On Monday when the nurse checked his weight he was back up to 7lbs 11oz. Almost back to his birth weight. If I remember right they are supposed to be back to their birth weight by the second week. So he is doing really good with the eating! He is also a really good sleeper. He wakes up during the day to feed, but at night I have to wake him up! He will go 5 hrs + if I don't. By that time, my tatas are screaming feed him! lol
We have truly been blessed with another good baby! (so far) He doesn't really fuss to much unless he's tired, wet or hungry. Other then that he's pretty content.
He is truly a beautiful baby, we have been blessed x2!
Jackson Update: Since bringing Tanner home, Jackson has been a little onry. Nothing out of the ordinary! Just a few more No's then we would like and some whinnies, but other then that he has been pretty darn good. It's amazing to see how gentle he is with Tanner and how much he wants to hold him. He also loves giving him kisses and helping me change his diaper. I think Jeff and I did a pretty darn good job preparing him for the arrival of his little brother. I love seeing them together and can't wait to see how they will be in the future! I can wait for them to grow up, but I am curious to see what kind of bond or friendship they will have!

Jackson welcomes Tanner home!

We brought Tanner home on Friday and boy was Jackson excited. When we came around the corner in the car, Jackson was standing outside and had the biggest smile!
Tanner did really well in the car and the only thing I could do was just stare at him and cry. I felt the same way when we brought Jackson home. I can't believe how much I love him and I didn't think it would be possible to love another child as much as your first. Well, let me tell you, it's possible.
Well, here is Mr. Tanner and Jackson right after we brought him in the house. He is so small and so freaking cute! I love all of him!
Jackson absolutely loves him! He is going to be such a great big brother!

Introducing Tanner Jeffrey!

He is finally here and he was definitely ready!
Jeff and I went to the hospital yesterday for my induction, which was originally scheduled for 730 in the morning, but we got pushed back to 11 instead. It actually worked out great because we got to spend some extra time with Jackson. We took him to the driving range and to breakfast. I was really sad to leave him yesterday and I was really emotional. Didn't think it was going to be that hard, but I tried not to show it because he was getting upset that we were leaving him.
Back to where I was going with this! So we got checked in and settled. I was hooked up to my antibiotic for the strep b at 1250 and had until 450 for the 1st 4 hr dosage. So after I got hooked up to that the nurse checked me and I was still dilated at a 4 cm, so she started the patosin and my contractions started. They were 3-5 minutes apart and a little uncomfortable, but nothing I couldn't handle! So Jeff and I played on the computer, texted friends and talked. We had a good time giving the nurse a hard time and she was so funny and so nice. My doctor wasn't due back until she was done at work and when she came back it was 430. Pretty close to my 4 hour mark for antibiotics. She checked me and I was at a 6 cm, so she broke my water and said it should be an hour or so until we will be ready! Well, right after she broke my water the party was definitely starting! I instantly felt like I had to go to the bathroom and so the nurse and I headed over there. When we came back to my bed my contractions were pretty much right on top of each other so I requested an epidural. Well, just my luck the guy had just gone in to another room so now I was going to have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for him to finish up with that lady! So after that information my nurse got me prepped for the epidural and all of a sudden I was on fire and this time I either had to poop or push, I couldn't tell. So the nurse checked me again and said, "it doesn't look like your getting that epidural!" Well, I figured that! I was ready to push and after a handful of pushing his beautiful body came out at 452 pm! Now that I am done with all the labor stuff I am really glad I had him naturally. I was able to focus on the push and I knew what I was doing this time compared to Jackson's delivery!
So here is our family of 4! Sounds so weird to say that, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Tanner Jeffrey, 7lbs 13oz 19 inches long and was born at 452 pm

This one is from today! Jackson wanted to sit by me and hold Tanner! They are so cute together!
I will post more when I get home from the hospital and can take some good pictures of us settling in!

39 weeks & 2 Days

This is my last belly shot for you folks! I will be heading to the hospital in the morning to be induced at 7:30 am. This little guy just doesn't want to come out on his own. I know I could give him some more time, but after being dilated at a 3 cm for 2 weeks and now a 4cm. I think I need a little help. I honestly think I may have progressed some more after the way I felt this weekend, but it wasn't enough to make me go in to labor. I have also been trying the spicy food, walking and swimming (see my tan) old wives tales, but nothing is working. I have also had really swollen feet and ankles, but they are actually starting to go down.
Soooo, here is my belly from the front obviously! I am 39 weeks & 2 days today!
38 weeks & 2 days
Jeff and I plan on taking our laptop to the hospital and we will send out a text to our close family and friends when out little Tanner arrives! I am so excited to meet my baby and finally see what he looks like. I am also curious to know how big he is. The doctor seems to think he'll be smaller then Jackson. Jackson was 21.5 inches 7 lbs 11 oz!
Until then........
